5 Tips to Build Your Confidence

A positive thinker is a self-encourager. If you have no confidence in self, you are twice defeated in the race of life. On the other hand, with confidence, you have won even before you start.

Here are five tips to boost your confidence every day:

1. Each time you initiate action always remember your past successful experiences. When you evoke these feelings, you will feel successful and act with confidence.

2. Realize that confidence comes from belief. Believe in yourself actively, not passively-- it can make you do the seemingly impossible.

3. You belief more of what you hear yourself say than what you hear anyone say about you. Moreover, the scripture says that we’ll eat the fruit of our words.
(Proverbs 13:2) So from this moment, start affirming out loud, “I am confident” or something similar and this in turn will evoke feelings of confidence instantly.

4. Accept all your negative feelings, failures, and mistakes as a challenge. Confidence is simply the ability to rise above these feelings, failures, and mistakes. Also, practice being happy and begin with smiling; confidence is a state of happiness.

5. Never say, “I can’t do it because I don’t know how to do it”. Start doing it and you’ll learn how to do it in the doing of it. Train your mind to look for reasons why you can do something, not reasons to prove that you cannot do what you want to undertake.
