Each one of us has an internal dialogue, an inner conversation going on with ourselves. In fact, we talk more to ourselves than we do to anybody else.  The problem is that this conversation is often negative and it can reduce our desire to do anything.  Furthermore, it is easy to focus on the reasons why we can't do, have, buy, achieve, and become what we want (in every area of our lives) instead of giving ourselves all the reasons why we can do what they want. For instance, consider someone whose goal is to lose weight and get back in shape. Instead of giving themselves reasons why they can lose weight and get back in shape, they start to give themselves reasons why they can't achieve their goal.
