You Can Overcome the Obstacles You Face
Anyone who has already accomplished what you want to accomplish had to surmount their own obstacles. That which they become they first desired to become. They thought out, and planned every step upward to their own high mountain top. And it is noteworthy that he who deeply desires anything loves the effort which he must exert to obtain his desire, but he whose desire is weak lacks incentive for effort and, therefore, makes none.
“We are built to conquer environment, solve problems, achieve goals, and we find no real satisfaction or happiness in life without obstacles to conquer and goals to achieve.” -- Maxwell Maltz
The problem could be that you have not clearly identified all those things preventing you from reaching your goal. Because the problem has never been clearly defined it becomes more difficult to solve it. You have to diagnose before you can prescribe so to speak. If you went to see your doctor for a health problem and he started prescribing a drug for you before making a diagnosis. What sort of impression would you get?
To solve this problem, ensure that you write down all those things preventing you from reaching your goals (in every area of your life). I hope that by now you have written goals in a goal journal to help you crystallize your thinking in writing. Only by writing down the reasons why you don’t have what you want now will it crystallize your thinking and cause you to start thinking of the solutions.
Once you clearly identify all the things preventing you from reaching your goals you may be surprised to find that you actually know what to do to resolve a problem. You will find that solutions will come to you which you had not entertained before. Why? This is because the problem has never been identified before. If no solutions come to you straightaway, keep focusing on what you want, not what you don’t want, and the solution will come.
To Your Success,
