You Can Control Your Attitude
Everything that you do in life is determined by your attitude and 90% of your success will be determined by how positive your mental attitude is. We all want good results in life and the single most important factor that guarantees good results is a healthy attitude. You will find that a great attitude will seem to create unexpected opportunities— a process of happy discoveries, which others refer to as so called "lucky breaks".
“There is little difference in people, but that little difference makes a big difference. That little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or negative.”
— W. Clement Stone
The problem is that due to earlier environmental influences: from parents, teachers, or others who were important when we were growing up, many people were conditioned by the negative attitudes and habits of those around them. It is noteworthy that our mind food determines our habits, attitudes, and our personalities. Mind food is our environment. Everything that influences our thoughts and the kind of mind food that we have been fed with determines how much innate capacity to achieve we develop.
Moreover, anyone can unconsciously slip into the habit of negative thinking and one way to overcome this habit is to view yourself objectively, recognize you are doing it, and then taking time to discover the main reason why you think the way you do (in every area of your life), why you act in the way you act and why you will tend to move in a way that is consistent with what you are familiar with even if it is leading you away from what you want to accomplish.
Realize that your attitude is malleable and you can learn to think in new ways. Attitudes are nothing more than habits of thought and habits can be acquired. They can be formed and learned. Always remember that for things to change you have to change and the key is in building confidence and a belief that you can change yourself and your attitudes.
The Bottom Line: Attitudes are habits of thought so keep your mind on what you want, not on what you don't want.
