Be Enthusiastic About Everything You Do
"Nothing great will ever be achieved without enthusiasm." —Ralph Waldo Emerson
Enthusiasm is a feeling of enthusiastic interest in a particular subject or activity and an eagerness to be involved in it. Every morning start your day with enthusiastic anticipation and expectation. As you open your eyes say to yourself: "I believe that this brand new day will bring me nearer toward my goal" or something similar. Let your first words start your day with enthusiasm.
The problem is that many people don't clearly and specifically define their goals and as a result they cannot burn with a strong desire to see it become a reality. The enthusiasm which will ignite will burn brightly when you clearly define what your goals are and focus on them.
Moreover, it is worth noting that sometimes we can cause our enthusiasm to achieve ambitions and goals to diminish. This usually occurs during the planning stage when it is easier to cultivate a negative attitude, or when we begin to wonder how it is ever going to happen with all the obstacles on the way to achieving the goal. Soon, the thought of having to pay a price of any kind becomes so daunting that our enthusiasm can begin to falter.
To become more enthusiastic about your goals one way to achieve this is to list the reasons why you want your goal, and also the major benefit you'll enjoy once the goal is achieved. You should list the benefit that will excite you, that will truly give you a sense of satisfaction, confidence, and well-being. This and all the reasons why will provide the energy and enthusiasm to enable you cope with all the obstacles you will meet on the way to attaining your goals.
Furthermore, begin everything with enthusiasm. If you are not excited no matter how you show it (you know when you are excited), then you have stated your goal incorrectly. Your enthusiasm can only stem from your excitement about what you are doing. Enthusiasm is the most wonderfully contagious commodity. It has the wonderful capacity to grow the more you share it and will affect almost anyone it touches.
In addition, it is important that you use your words to describe how you feel about what you want to achieve to help you project a positive self-image of you being an enthusiastic person. Take each of your goals (in every area of your life) and tell yourself that you really want to achieve it, and that you love every effort you put in so it can become a reality. Say out loud, " I am becoming more enthusiastic about achieving this goal (specify the goal) or something similar. You have the power to choose what you want so let your heart guide you in the goal-setting process to help you set exciting, yet challenging and realistic goals. I want you to know that you can become enthusiastic about everything you do.
