Concentrate on One Thought at a Time

You cannot have a feeling or emotion without first having experienced a thought. Your thoughts are entirely yours to keep, change, share , or contemplate. The problem is that scattered thoughts can make any task seem more taxing, and it decreases your mental power. The good news is that you have the power to control your thoughts, train your mind to focus on one thought at a time, and let go of unimportant random thoughts. “The immature mind hops from one thing to another; the mature mind seeks to follow through.” – Harry A. We easily deceive ourselves more than others simply because we choose to give ourselves reasons why we cannot do something or reasons why what we want to undertake will not turn out how we want it to be.  And that’s why it is true that no one can impede your progress as surely and impeccably as you can. Human beings are the only known creatures that can remold themselves through self-study.   Our individual growth depends on our understanding of what we can become and what we have to do to achieve this. Internal understanding and acceptance will lead to change in attitudes , habits , a nd the good news is that you can consciously and constructively change your habits and attitudes for the better. The problem is that change is uncomfortable and it is met with some form of internal resistance.
